What is BSA Healthy Savings?

Is Healthy Savings insurance?

No. Healthy Savings is NOT insurance.

I already have insurance. Why do I need Healthy Savings?

Does your insurance exclude benefits for prescriptions, doctor visits, maternity, mental health, or chiropractic?

Do you have a high deductible that you have to meet before insurance “kicks in”?

Does your insurance have “pre-existing condition” exclusions for you?

Are your dependents excluded under your policy?

If the answer to ANY of these is “YES”, Healthy Savings might be for you!

How do I use Healthy Savings?

It’s easy! When you need to see a healthcare provider, use the Healthy Savings website at www.bsacard.com. to locate a participating provider. At the time of service, present your Healthy Savings card so that the provider knows what to collect from you. You then pay the provider at the time of service. It’s that simple!

How does the card work with my insurance?

BSA Healthy Savings does not coordinate with insurance. It is not designed to be used with HMO or PPO-type plans. The Card saves you money on services that insurance MIGHT NOT COVER such as: pre-existing conditions, maternity, dependent coverage, pharmacy, eyeglasses, chiropractic, experimental treatments, treatments from non-network providers, and so on.

How do I pay for the BSA Healthy Savings Card?
